Look out Texas! Here they come! (Houston, Dallas: for sale, apartment, health insurance)

As a former resident of Texas (Houston & Dallas, 1997-2003) and current resident of southern AZ, there are news reports of illegal aliens fleeing AZ and heading to Texas where there is no "employer verification" law requiring employers to verify the citizenship of potential employees. Apartment vacancies here in the Phoenix area have increased, and there are more "for sale" signs in front of homes in the predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods where illegal aliens used to live.

I hope that Houston and Dallas will be able to handle the increased crime caused by more "alien smugglers" and drunk-driving illegals that are the hallmarks of a broken immigration system here in AZ.

You're kidding, right, about 'no employer verification?' I have just been told that my SS number may take up to a year to arrive, and until then I cannot drive, work or get Health Insurance in Texas - yet I am not an Illegal alien, I have been married for 16 years to a US citizen and we have 3 US citizen kids - I have legal Permanent Resident Status. Yet I am not allowed to work, or drive - and you say that illegal aliens can do so? How is this happening?

Illegal aliens in Arizona often relied on stolen or forged documents. Employers here previously overlooked the lack of "proper" identification because they wanted cheap labor, especially in the construction industry. But because of the slow down in the home-building industry, especially in southern AZ, and because of the new law, the illegals will try to go where they can use their fake identification for jobs.

You can drive. Have you ever experienced the freeways at 11:45 Friday night? That's when the party just gets started! Phoenix AZ freeways look like this in the middle of the day.

You can work -- go call a company that does concrete, landscaping, curb painting (house numbers), etc and see if they'll hire you for cash. I get cheesy, amateur flyers/business cards stuffed in my door every week for this. Or go into business yourself, cash jobs only.

Health insurance... well that you may have to go without.

Its not just the southwest. They have even worked their ways into deep into the Blue Ridge mountains and into the heartlands as well.

We are giving this country away. And none of these jokers running for office are going to do anything about it except house them, feed them, give them insurance and educate them through college.
