Actually, it is possible. If the satellites are close by, bad coaxial cables and connectors can leak interference signals with wifi. Ask your neighbor to call the service provider. They have the frequency analyzer to troubleshoot the issues.

The satellite dishes are not the cause. I am an amateur FTA hobbyist, and still play with C-Band satellite as well (still have a 10ft C-Band dish in storage), so I know something about these frequencies. Nowadays, people use either FTA, or Dish/DirecTV. Those frequencies are in the 10-12Ghz range. Even if they were off by 1-2Mhz, they would not interfere with WiFi as WiFi is in the 2-6Ghz range (2.4 to 5.8 to be exact). You won't get any interference from the dish, or their cables. That would be like getting the Rush Limbaugh show AM 740 interference on Sunny 99.1 FM.

Even so, if your neighbor's dishes were to blame, and he/she was losing signal, I'm sure he/she would get the problem fixed... I'm going to agree with TXDEMO, they'd probably would not let it go past the 16th, or 17th call. Maybe as far as the 18th if they are really busy.

Their is a whole lot of mis informed, mis information on this thread.Their is nothing about those dishes that can interfere with each other or give off interference. They are receive only. They have nothing to make them send out signals through the air.

There is no such thing as "wifi flash memory".
