Are all gyms like this, I've been a member of LA Fitness in League City for several years now. Most of the equipment is outdated. Corporate sends someone day every few months to have the machines and mats rearranged. There are ALWAYS several machines OUT OF ORDER or NEED SERVICING.
Exercise bikes. elipticals and treadmills are upstairs and if you're lucky you may actually be able to hear one of the twelve TVs suspended from the ceiling. Unfortunately only four of the treadmills give that luxury. Of course there is close caption TV you say! Well it can only be turned on by the staff member whose shift starts at 9:00am. The early shift (5:00am) staff claim to not know how to operate the TV remote (although the janitors do and have done when asked).
I and a good many of the morning crowd enjoy being able to use the close caption option. PLEASE LA Fitness a) train your staff how to operate the TV remote, b) update your equipment!

Seriously....

Most people go to the gym to work out, not watch tv. wow. smdh

The equipment I can understand. Works better if you start a campaign, get other members involved, and use an email, mail, fb, twitter attach to get results.

Time to switch to a new gym. I'd recommend Lifetime Athletic, but looks like there aren't any on your side of town.

As for me...I expect very little from LA Fitness, and I am rarely disappointed .
