Houston Rodeo show will start March 3 and this will be my first time. I was wondering if there are any discount coupons on the internet or anywhere in Houston that I can pickup?

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

I don't mean to be a smart *** but you can get tickets from $16-21 and that gets you into live rodeo, a small version of a state fair, and a first class live concert. It is a tremendous bargain IMO.

The last time I went, the group I saw that night (with a $15 ticket) was appearing in Dallas the next night for $36.

No, I have never seen discount tickets available. However, Wednesdays are Value Days.

From the HLRS website:

VALUE DAYS —
All three Wednesdays (March 4, 11 and 18) during the 2009 Show will be designated as Value Days, with these incredible entertainment value options:
  • $10 Value Day Rodeo/Concert Ticket in the upper level of Reliant Stadium (includes Reliant Park admission)
    • choose from the three Wednesday superstar entertainers
    • championship rodeo action
  • $20 Value Day Package (includes Reliant Park admission)
    • choose from the three Wednesday superstar entertainers (upper level ticket in Reliant Stadium)
    • championship rodeo action
    • free Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 75th Anniversary Commemorative Cookbook (for the first 5,000 orders of four tickets or more — available while supplies last — purchases must be made at the Show’s Ticket Window only)
    • one Prince’s hamburger or one personal Papa John’s pizza in Reliant Stadium
    • one Coca-Cola product fountain drink in Reliant Stadium
    • two carnival ride coupons, plus games, food and select ride specials
    • $5 off official Rodeo merchandise with $25 purchase
    • half-price pony ride
    • half-price pony ride photo
    • one petting zoo feed cone
  • $5 Value Day Reliant Park Admission (does not include rodeo/concert admission)
  • Free Value Day Reliant Park Admission (for seniors, 60 and over, and children, 12 and under — does not include rodeo/concert admission)
  • $5 Value Day Miller Lite Main Street Lot Parking (available until 3 p.m. each Wednesday)
How to Purchase Value Days Tickets (no service, processing or mailing charges)
  • In person at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Ticket Window on the second floor of Reliant Center, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (free Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 75th Anniversary Commemorative Cookbook for the first 5,000 orders of four tickets or more — available while supplies last)

Yea but dont forget the $20 or more to park your car. The Rodeo and concerts are a bargain but the parking fees is rape.

There are copious opportunities to park off-site and take a shuttle into the park.

From the website:

Parking Information
On-site parking is available at the Reliant Park Main Street lots during the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest. During the run of the Show, parking is available at the Reliant Park Main Street and South Kirby lots.
Parking Prices
  • Daytime parking (7 a.m. to 1 p.m.) in the South Kirby Lot only, Monday through Friday: $7 per car
(vehicles must be out by 3 p.m.)
  • After daytime parking hours: $12 per car

My complaint of raping us for parking fees also extend to Rockets games where parking also starts at $20 and goes to $25. Any small event at Reliant charges $8. The boat show, the car show etc. Hell even the job fairs charge $8 to park to those who can least afford it.
