Need to know which county might be better than Harris county. I have already heard that Harris County is the worse in regards to property taxes, so I kinda would like to stay out of there. However, my wife and I both work in the Freight Forwarding field so we have to stay somewhat close to George Bush Airport and the Harbor. I was wondering about Montgomery County or Liberty County. The only other question I have then is which one is worse in regards to the flooding issue. I have seen on Google Earth that there are two rather big lakes and bayous in both those counties. Dont really want to move to Houston, buy a house and watch it float away. Also which area would be better in regards to the drive to the airport? Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks

I disagree with Harris being worse in property taxes. There are some MPCs in Montgomery that are well over 3.5%. Harris is 2.9% or under.

Look into Kingwood.

EA. The OP asked this question back in 2006. This thread got bumped
yesterday by a Realtor who signed up yesterday and spammed 25 or so old posts.
Mods deleted them this morning.
