Is that a joke?
You really expect to have highs in the low 70s with low humidity in a flat coastal city that is close to the tropics?

I grew up in South America at an elevation of 5000ft above sea level and I don't remember ever having a day with highs in the low 70s.

Please define fairly common because those conditions do not exist everyday from November to April.

Just asking, bro... the answer would determine how many months I think the weather is actually nice in Houston.

Average Temperatures Average

High Low
January 62°F 41°F
February 67°F 44°F
March 73°F 51°F
April 79°F 57°F
May 86°F 66°F
June 91°F 72°F
July 94°F 74°F
August 94°F 73°F
September 89°F 68°F
October 82°F 59°F
November 72°F 50°F
December 65°F 43°F

As you can clearly see from the chart above average high temps in Houston from November thru March are below 75f. October and April are transition months where the temps rise slightly above that threashold.

Jack, you can't just take the average temperature of those months to answer that question. Based on your data, only the months of March, April, and November have average temperatures in the 70s, hardly the majority of the year.

I can tell you this for a fact
Houston has more days with temperatures between 75F and 50F than most cities in the United States

I don't do anything with having highs in the 60s and lows in the 10s

Do you live here ? You should know during a stretch of time between November and April High temps in the 70's are quite common. They are not as consistent as summer temps but very common..
