I know lot of Katy residents that don't go to Katy Mills as well. But then again I know lot of people from Sealy and other near by areas who drive up to Katy Mills most of the times for their shopping.

I wonder if N. Katy will become like Parisian banlieue (inner ring suburbs that are known for being ghetto)
That already exists in many forms. Alief, Aldine, FM-1960, etc., etc., etc..

Well, this is somewhat to be expected. A retail center like Katy Mills is intended to have a "super-regional" market area.

The Katy Mills area is already within the incorporated City of Katy. The City apparently just didn't have a vision for the area (which doesn't necessarily mean dictating land use but can include design standards and infrastructure / public amenity plans) that I find appealing. Hopefully City leaders like it though.

The peeps I know from eastern Katy (Green Trails and Kelliwood residents) will drive to Memorial City Mall for their shopping, not Katy Mills.

I like 10-15 mins away from Katy Mills. I prefer to go to 290 outlets.. I go to Galleria if I don't want to buy anything
