Hi,
I'm in a bind with no help and need to hire a worker or two to help me tommorow load boxes. Someone told me there is day labor at home depot in mornings?

I'll take advantage and ask a question ...

How much would they charge to do a French drain 50 feet long?

I typically see them in some of the Home Depot lots in the mornings.

Maybe the Home Depot in Clear Lake Shores at 2094 (Marina Bay) and Hwy 146 next to the Target? Having said that, we go there a lot, and I can't recall seeing people milling about. Maybe because my trips there are later in the day, though.

The other nearby Home Depots are off the Gulf Freeway in Webster and also Dickinson (at the 646 exit)

That kind of a question would start a virtual riot on Facebook with some of my friends from high school.

I used to see guys standing around at a couple of different convenience stores on FM 518 in League City between Egret Bay and Highway 3.

Another place was the apartment complex immediately behind Half Price Books.

Not sure if you're kidding but FYI - I just got a quote for a french drain by a good company and they charge $12 a foot.

I'm serious,
for $12/foot = $600, I'll do it myself
A neighbor just did it himself and cost him about $200

You may have to go up to Pasadena for that.

It's easily worth the additional $400 for me not to have to dig a 50 foot trench and lay/fit the pipe myself.

That's a good point. Might be the case.
