Add those in together and you probably have a school on the level above Manvel and below or equal to Glenda Dawson. Not sure about the Willowridge comparison as I'm sure it didn't have a 5500 home MPC next to it and at least another one wiht 1500+ on the way - Pomona
Southern Trails has 1300+ homes and is almost built out now; it also feeds SCR HS.

I thought anything east of Almeda and south of 2234 was considered great which means Rodeo Palms should fit into that category..right?

If that school doesn't get high marks by whatever rating system then I can't even fathom older schools in the area

When Willowridge came on line in the 70s the neighborhoods around were all less than 10 years old with amenities MPC have on a lesser scale. Areas change.

I hope it ends up much better than Manvel High. That school is awful and about to go in the toilet after losing Shadow Creek Ranch.

Shadow Creek High School is too new to have ratings really. It should be a decent school, but it is hard to tell.

Glenda Dawson gets good ratings on several sites It is ranked 909 in the nation and 104 in Texas on US News and World Report. Niche gives it an A+ overall ranking for academics, diversity and college readiness. School digger ranks it 183 in Texas.

How long have you been friends with the superintendent of Alvin ISD?

Very Funny.

https://www.niche.com/k12/rankings/p...on-metro-area/

Pearland isd comes in 3rd and Alvin isd comes in 17th.

Glenda Dawson does well on the Children at Risk report whereas none of Alvin's high schools are in the top 30

Why do people assume Glenda Dawson is so good when it's less than 3 miles from Shadow Creek Ranch high and what appears to be somewhat similar racial demographics
Muh school district rankings!

People tend to use those as a blanket statement about a district and get surprised that Pearland schools aren't all rosey...

Pearland ISD has become much larger, so now there are different schools with different levels of student performance. People should generally look at the individual school ranking, not so much the district ranking.

There are times when the whole district is a stinker. Hello North Forest!
