Can anyone recommend a board certified hypnotist for weight loss/anxiety?

Instead of going to a hypnotist you'll do better to see a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who will have more success with helping you tackle your problems with weight/anxiety.

I disagree with this. I have had little success with cognitive therapy for my issues.
I think sometimes - depending on the person and depending on the issue to be treated - hypnotherapy can work well.

It's really apples and organges imho.

I've thought about hypnosis for my fear of the ever present large insect that starts with an R and ends in an H. They terrify me and as a grown woman who literally screams and runs away and runs out of my own house I need some help. But I feel like hypnosis is quackery in a way so I've been skeptical.

Trust me. I'm a grown man who does the same while calling for my wife to smash it.

There is an explosion of interest and availability of ketamine infusion treatment for addiction and depression and I'm sure it would be helpful in overeating. There are a number of clinics in Houston and suburbs offering it, and Harris County even in some cases uses it at the county psychiatric unit. The lowest price is $375 at Ascend clinic in the TMC. There are scads of literature all over the internet on this movement. This is not a psychiatric drug, i.e. one that you must take for years. The effect lasts for one hour and is a depth psychology approach.

Here is one of the first papers on ketamine research with alcoholics at a Leningrad psychiatric hospital, written in the early '90's: “DEATH-REBIRTH” PSYCHOTHERAPY WITH KETAMINE by Igor Kungurtsev, M. D.
