Why move to the farthest possible suburbs when plenty of good ones close by?

When people say they don't mind a long commute I'm just stunned. No way could I sit in that nightmare traffic headed out to the suburbs. Those people must have the best patience or the most luxurious car with all the amenities to keep them relaxed and entertained.

Perhaps they're trying to avoid being at home with their family. If you've got a nagging, unpleasant spouse and kids, I can understand that.

Because I never checked out those areas before. Plus, I heard that those areas have some really bad flooding situation when it occurs?

Not really. As I said on the first post, 40 minutes commute is really nothing to me. I have been at worse (1.5 hours).

Plus, I can just reschedule my work hour to avoid being stuck in traffic, so a 40 minutes driving without traffic is fine to me.

I wonder if the area near Deer Park any good?
