I checked my next door neighbor’s property tax appraisal for 2017 on county’s web site and noticed that while their overall appraised value is higher than mine (these houses and bigger and their sqft is larger than mine). But when I look at each house per sqft appraised value, it is far less than mine. My question is why they assessed these houses on a lower per sqft value? Can I protest based on unequal valuation? Is this a valid argument?

I stopped trying because they essentially said, it is what we say, and you have no say.

So, I now must play the game and hire their old boss and pay his fees so he can hire them after their pension is locked in.

Price of doing business I suppose.
