Hi everybody. I'm 30236's wife. As you all may know we as a family have decided on Houston. We have been getting reputation comments about Sienna Plantation being an upscale AA community. We would love to check into that. Will anyone help us? We will truly and dearly appreciate any concerns, commets, criticism or whatever you may bring forward in helping us. Thanks a bunch.

30236 and family, check Sienna Point also. That is an upscale community too. It is still in the sticks though. Once they complete Sienna Parkway it will connect with the rest of Sienna Plantation. There are ex-professional athletes of different sports that reside there.

I think you are going to enjoy it in Houston

Believe or not Houston is in every sense is just like Atlanta
It has some differences though

Instead of trees and hills---->you have flat and smooth
Instead of four seasons [cool. hottt. cool. freezing]----> you have two seasons {hot and hotter}
Instead of lakes---->you have beaches and lakes
Instead of a concentrated middle class/affluent black neighborhood---->you have integrated neighborhoods, white,black, hispanics, Asian and so on
[I am currently out here and Im happy to see the success of some many AA]
Instead of the worst traffic---->you have bad traffic---> we have feeder roads, and they help alleviate some traffic and direct traffic else where. Atlanta has a major problem with their road system, I never seen cars backed up for miles and miles to get off one exit. I guess that is the price when you line the freeway with trees.
Instead of the downtown connector{ a hell hole for drivers, it merges I75,I85,I20,AND GEORGIA 400 into 1 big mess of a freeway---->You have separate freeways to take to downtown[I-10,I-59,288,I-45]
Instead of concentrated entertainment like Downtown, Midtown--->You have a sparse entertainment that is everywhere In Houston
Instead of Buckhead, atlantic station ---> you have Uptown
Instead of lennox, phipps plaza-->you have the Galleria {both can fit inside}
The nightlife isn't the same. Its a matter of opinion though [personally I think Atlanta is better]

I think I read it right, you live in Jonesboro so I think it is safe to say that your are accostume to rush hour and traveling.
Once you explore the city and find what it all has to offer you will be FINE

This is where I use to live when I stayed out here

Many have a very sizeable black population
Home,
Walden on Lake Houston

Some neighborhood I have passed through
Fall Creek | Houston New Homes
[I have a friend stay here. his section is in the price range of 300,000-450,000-- almost every other house had somebody black living in them]
Houston new homes | Sugar Land new homes | Missouri City new homes - Missouri City
{this area has a sizeable black population]
Lake Olympia - Missouri City
