Hey All,

Does anyone knows of place where i can get locally sourced organic produce (fruits, Veggies etc) in Katy area?
Do stores like whole foods, Harvest natural , Sprouts carry them?

Thanks,

Isn't there a farmer's market at La Centerra?
There's a new one at Harvest Green (off 99 and W. Airport), which isn't too far.

Depends on the vendor. It's always fun to browse, and if a vendor's wares are organic, they'll be sure to tell you.
Gundermann Acres and Plant It Forward both come to the Sugar Land farmer's market, and their produce is organic.

This looks like a pretty good CSA option:

CSA » Loam Agronomics » Loam Agronomics is a 288-acre farm and CSA located in the suburbs of Houston, Texas.

I see that the farmers market that used to be at La Centerra is at Church of the Holy Apostles now.

If you don't want to join the CSA,Loam Agronomics vegetables are sold at some farmers markets like the Energy Corridor (Hwy 6 near I-10) and Sugar Land (Imperial).

The same company runs the Harvest Green Vegetables stand (Harlem near the high school) on Saturday Mornings.

There are a couple of vegetable stands in Fulshear Farmers Market (1093 & Bois D' Arc) but their inventory is very limited and expensive.

I haven't seen any local organic fruits forsale except for tomatoes (now) and Satsumas (winter).

Check out HG Produce. They aren't far from Harvest Market on Saddlespur, and i believe everything sold is grown on the property there.

Also, as someone mentioned, the farmers market is now off of 99 and the Highland Knolls exit.
