Out of curiosity, what do you all think about Jersey Village? More specifically, the areas zoned to Gleason (and maybe Post) Elementary.

We are just east of JV, inside the beltway. I often recommend it. Good location, good schools, good neighborhoods.

I strongly encourage you to make a rush hour drive from Jersey Village to Greenway before you consider buying up there.

Yeah, I wouldn't immediately recommend the JV area to someone working at Greenway Plaza, but the OP was considering The Woodlands. And honestly, JV is closer to Greenway Plaza than the usual recommended areas - e.g. Pearland, Sugar Land. I used to work in the Frost Bank building right by Greenway Plaza and I often travel to the Med Center during morning rush hour, and the commute takes me 35-45 minutes. It's less than 20 miles.

I have friends living in the JV area and despite Hwy 290, they don't feel as far removed from Houston as those living in Cypress/Spring/Woodlands.

I had a friend rent in JV and he hated life due to the commute.
