Hello Everyone,
Looooong time lurker here and now I'm in need of some honest opinions. My husband and I currently live in a nice apartment around Brazos Town Center . We had our baby boy in January and are now looking to rent a home since it's getting crowded and unmanageable for us, and especially me since I'm a stay at home mom, with a baby and two dogs in an apartment. I've been looking for a home but it's been difficult with our budget and the timing. Houses get snatched up very quickly around here. We are new to the area after moving from the Austin area where we attended college and worked for the past 8 years. I've been doing a lot of research on here but a lot of the info seems a bit dated. I have found a couple of houses in the Pheasant Creek area and Chimneystone and want to know if these areas would be safe for a stay at home mom with a baby. I'm more specifically asking about Pheasant Creek since I've heard great things about Chimneystone. The reason I'm not just going with Chimneystone is because some of the houses don't come with refrigerator, microwaves or washer/dryer. Why is that? I can understand the washer and dryer and microwave but no fridge? I would appreciate any opinions y'all have for me, thank you.

TLR Is Pheasant Creek a safe/good place for a young family and especially a stay at home mom?

Pheasant Creek is fine. Chimneystone is definitely better, but that's largely tied to the schools, which you won't need for awhile.

Chimneystone has access to better retail along Hwy 6 but as the Aliana retail comes in you have easy access to that from Pheasant Creek.

With that said, if your budget allows, I'd still try for Chimneystone.

Thank you so much for your input. I'm definitely the one pushing for Chimneystone but my husband is adamant about not having to buy expensive appliances for a rental and he hates the traffic on highway 6.

Go with Chimney Stone and buy used, low priced appliances.

Hi, if you need someone to show you around the area to rent, personal message me with a email that you can be reached! I will have the realtor contact you.

Best Regards,
