Going to be selling my home soon. Does anyone know the cost of staging a house in the Houston suburbs?

Ten years ago we used a home staging company. I know prices have changed but go ahead and google some and get quotes. I will say the one we used was worth every penny. Our home wouldn't sell for 4 months and once it was staged it sold in a few weeks.

Staging creates a buzz. Realtors want to see the home to get ideas. When they come they bring clients. Word gets around. I think we used Houston Staging. They included a really nice coffee maker there in the kitchen with a note that it comes with the home. They also had fortune cookies with the staging company information on the 'fortune'.

Do you have a realtor, or a group of realtors you are narrowing down, to help sell yet? I only ask because our realtor included staging and professional photos at no cost (though I am sure it comes out of the 6%). So if you are using a realtor to sell, you might want to ask them what their policy is first.
