Try looking here: Houston Restaurants - B4-U-EAT

I'm sure it does not show ALL in town but it's a start.

You might like Pollo Bravo on Hillcroft and 59. They have ceviche, yuca frita, platano frito, and othe stuff. Clean, reasonable and clean.

stuart

I like Isla Coqui (Puerto Rican)
It's I-10 and Shepard (or somewhere around there)
Salsa night Thursdays... (if that hasn't been changed.)

The other Puerto Rican restuarant is Montrose and Fairview (close to the intersection) and has the weirdest hours, but good food if you can catch it open.

John,

Check out El Rey on Washington Ave at Shepherd (southeast corner of Washington Ave @ Shepherd). It was rated the "best fast food" in Houston (it even has a drive-thru). It has delicious, fresh Cuban and Mexican mix and it's very inexpensive. I like their tacos adobados with cilantro seasoning and sweet plantains. The seasonings and sweet plantains are very much like those typical of Puerto Rican cuisine. Their vanilla flan is the best flan I have tasted in Houston (hard to find good flan). Their menu is limited, but the quality of the food is great. Sweet plantains are served as sides on main dishes as well.

There's a Puerto Rican restaurant in the Montrose area (forgot the name - sorry!), however, it is VERY tiny (NO KIDDING). It's definitely more for food to go than dine-in. It does have great Puerto Rican food.

Enjoy!

I believe it's called "Tex Chick"
