Are there any fully furnitured and equipped (dishes, TV etc) apartments available in the inner loop region?

If not so, I heard about the possibility to rent furniture. Any recommendations for companies with good conditions?
Or, is there a Houston region website to find second-hand furniture/equipment?

Thanks. But as far as I can see these are all for short-time temporary rent - and hence probably much more expensive in the long run.

I will move to Houston for about 2 years and then return back to Europe. Thus I would like to get rid of the time for searching and installing furniture and - most of all - avoid moving lots of stuff in the end or alternatively losing lots of money by reselling them.

Look on craigs list - lots of options not found on HAR.

Or, just buy it all in IKEA and sell it on craigs list at the end - that's what many people do.

Well then Google "Houston furniture rental". You'll find a lot of places that will rent it.

Back when I was apartment living, rental was the only way I got furniture. Like you stated rental made it easy to move from one apartment to another which I did quiet often.

Thank you, folks!
I had a look at some sites for furniture rental. Looking at their prices, it is in the end cheaper to buy the stuff, if it is for two years' time - right?

Well, I do not know Houston. From what I have learned by now, I'd search for a 2b/2b in the areas of Rice, West University, maybe also MedCenter or Monrose and we were planning for a 1000-1500$/month. I was hoping that renting a furnitured appartment would be possible for an additional 100-200$/month. But maybe this is by far not realistic?

If you rent your furniture your looking at an extra $300-$400 a month easy. Like someone said earlier better to just buy some cheap stuff at IKEA. You can get a bed, mattress and side table for like $550 there which is what you would pay to rent a bedroom set and mattress for about 3 months. Grab a couch, tv, and tv stand for another $900 and you can get a folding card table with 4 chairs for like $50 at Walmart. Not pretty, but very functionally, furnished apartment for about $1500. When you move sell the whole set on Craig's List for $500 and your only out an extra 1k.

Fly,

Friends of mine wish to lease their townhouse fully furnished. I think it would meet your needs. If you would like more information, and photos, please send me a private message
Note: Property not listed on HAR.com
