“Good” by what measure or website? Methodology varies.

I wonder where I can see how the rankings dropped? Was it the Jay Mathews Challenge index, TAKS/STAAR?

A number of feeder patterns into Stratford High would qualify (not all though).

http://childrenatrisk.org/wp-content...TO-UPLOAD2.pdf - Ranked Bellaire between Stephen F Austin and Barbers Hills HSes... still up there.

Note at Bellaire HS here is, and has been, a large gap between AP/IB classes and "regular" classes.

Longwood Village in Cypress has an excellent K-12 feeder in Hamilton Elementary, Hamilton Middle School, and Cy-Fair High School.

It's rated 5/10 by Greatschools which is the same rating as Westside and below Stratford (6/10).
What other rating system are people using?

Echoing the sentiments from above, there are a number of suburb school districts that fit this description (all things relative.)

From experience, Greatwood comes to mind. Both in-neighborhood elementary schools rate very highly (higher than a number of their FBISD counterparts) and the middle school, junior high and high school campuses are fed primarily by Greatwood, as well as acreage neighborhoods Bridlewood and Royal Lakes Estates.

Additionally, I foresee Fulshear HS and a few of the elementary schools that feed into Fulshear HS being fairly similar.

My kids enjoyed Wilchester, Memorial Middle School and Stratford High School. South of I-10, north of Memorial, west of Beltway 8.

For reference, the Greatschools rankings:
* Stratford: https://www.greatschools.org/texas/h...d-High-School/ (seems to have been impacted by a low "student progress" submarking while its other subcategories are high)
* Bellaire: https://www.greatschools.org/texas/b...e-High-School/ (again, impacted by a low "student progress" submarking while its other subcategories are high)
* Westside: https://www.greatschools.org/texas/h...e-High-School/ (has lower college readiness and test scores submarkings compared to the other two)

Meanwhile Clements got a "9" https://www.greatschools.org/texas/s...s-High-School/

As for the Children at Risk ranking, the methodology is described here: http://childrenatrisk.org/wp-content...alysis-VF1.pdf

So would you argue that the 3 schools I mentioned are good, or good enough, for people who ask about these things? The only Houston HS I've heard people consistently describe as good are DeBakey and Memorial, but these folks are probably pickier than usual.
