Does Sugar Land have the same concept as the Woodlands or Kingwood with various villages or communities within the boundaries.

If so where should one look for a home from around 200-225
and 225-300

I think I have abandoned all areas except Sugar Land. And which subdivisions/villages are located in N Sugarland where I have been hearing not a place to buy

I think so but you'd have to elaborate... what exactly do you mean by a village? Like a master-planned community?

I asked a similar question several months ago and people recommended these neighborhoods to me: Riverstone, New Territory, Old Orchard, Orchard Lakes, First Colony, and Telfair.

I'm not sure of the price ranges in each one but HAR lets you search by subdivision, I believe.

Thanks Topaz. I know I am asking too many what if questions but we are really anxious to find a nice safe area. I heard about First Colony but Telfair we are out priced.

For the other person: I mean a city with various planned communities within the city that is all connected. I do not mean like a traditional town where there are subdivisions intergrated with low price areas. I mean more of a consistant mix of housing and perhaps within the housing areas small shopping/entertainment areas.

I currently live in a Beach community in SO CA and we have a wide range of housing. Mobiles next to million dollar properties and zoning is out of whack.

So yep. highly planned areas with bike trails, lakes, etc.

The villages in Kingwood are great. There are appx 25 villages and each is around 2500 (or less) people. They are all connected by 75 miles of greenbelt trails. You can go to all the villages by the greenbelt. When I go to Sugarland, it doesn't seem to have that same feeling connection. It feels like different developments that aren't connected to each other.

Avoid anything south of bissonnet. Avoid Townewest. Woodbridge has some nice homes in your range. But I think New Territory would be the best bet for your range. If you get a chance, Drive through the area.
