The ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, & Curaçao) are located near the South American coast and are considered outside the hurricane zone if that's a concern. Aruba is known for its resorts, so you should be able to find a package

Galveston, TX. With fine, white sand beaches, crystal-clear, 85 degree waters, and Cancun-style humidity, what's not to like?

Costa Rica is not subject to hurricanes like the other spots mentioned. Look at a map, it runs more east to west and part of S. America sticks up far enough North into the carribean that if that part of SA is hit the storms weaken at worst and as they move toward Central America they tend to turn nw not go due West. Look it up not common at all for CR to get hit. Now Volcanoes and Earthquakes are another matter for CR..
