Megachurch pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell denies claims of cheating investors

As members of the black faith community rallied around him, Kirbyjon Caldwell, the 64-year-old senior pastor at Windsor Village United Methodist Church, said he would fight the federal fraud charges filed Thursday against him and a Shreveport financial planner.

"These bonds are legitimate," Caldwell said. "The process is legitimate. I fully maintain that the accusation is baseless, and I hold evidence in my hand to the authenticity and the legitimacy of the bonds."

he has/had a mansion in Spring also but there has to be something behind the scenes as they never finished the new church as the Kingdom Center on Orem was not supposed to be the new sanctuary

oddly enough, alot of church buildings are financed with government money and plenty of them are now in the charter school business

Interesting... I was a member and I think I quit going about 6 years ago. At the time, there was still talk about building the sanctuary. I have wondered why it hasn't been built. I thought they were just doing other, more necessary, things since the Kingdom Center worked well as a sanctuary as is. I definitely want to know the backstory now!
