Is Houston's wealthy population fairly concentrated in this area? (circled with pink on map below).

Are these the wealthiest parts of Houston or are there other areas? Would these areas be similar to Fremont, San Jose, Palo Alto, and San Francisco of the Bay Area (California)?

The wealthiest areas in Houston are River Oaks, Bellaire, Rice Military, Memorial (esp. the part of Memorial inside the beltway), parts of the Galleria and of course West U. Beyond that, Sugar Land and the Woodlands have some wealth.

Are you looking for wealth or income? You hit most of the closest-in areas that have "wealth". However, you excluded areas like The Heights, Downtown, etc. where households have relatively high incomes but may not have built up wealth yet.

Are these parts basically analogous to Beverly Hills of Los Angeles? Does most of Houston view these areas like Beverley Hills?

Rice Military is wealthier than Montrose and The Heights? I find that hard to believe.

Nobody views any area of Houston like "Beverely Hills". River Oaks is most prestigious but mostly old money. Houston is a fairly unpretentious city and more of a "blue collar" feel even in expensive areas. Most of the younger crowd new money seems to be going into West U, Bellaire and then the burbs Sugar Land and Woodlands.
