I am recently moving to the area as I've accepted a position at the main building of MD Anderson. Coincidentally, my mother is also a patient with MD Anderson and has been for years. Can someone advise on nice, luxury apartments close to MD Anderson that would have hardwood flooring throughout the apartment (I'm fine with the bedrooms being carpeted), washer/dryer inside apartment and a SAFE COMMUNITY. I have a dog that I would like to walk in the area so I definitely need somewhere that is safe. Where to????

The Vantage on Holcombe sounds like what you want. Five minute walk to MD Anderson. It's got it's own dog park, but also opens out directly on Hermann park bayou trail. You don't even have to cross the street.

Ok great! Thank you for your input. I was looking for somewhere in the price range of $1000-$1500, would that me possible in the medical area?

Try Toscano on North Braeswood. 8 minutes to Med Center and right on the bayou trail. I don't think they have hardwoods but they're nice, clean and well managed. https://www.avaloncommunities.com/te...hstone-toscano

You cant get a luxury apartment in that price range but you can get something fairly decent towards the higher end.

Great. Don’t get a first floor apartment. It’s right next to the bayou so 1st floor may have flooded duringHarvey.

Gulf Bank is on the Northside of Houston, that's the hood. You would be staying nowhere near Gulf Bank.

Oh wow! Thanks for clearing that up, so there would be no mistake about it! The area by MD Anderson what "side" of town could that be considered. Would it be safe to say that's the "midtown" area, or do I have that wrong?
