The meat is so much more flavorful. The salad is much better. The white and red sauce are better. I can't believe I just found out about this place. Do yourself a favor and go to Gyro King for the best meat over rice in Houston.

Just for the sake of discussion, let's assume your home was hit by a meteor, and the kitchen was destroyed. Also, the road in front of your house is filled with news trucks, so no home delivery either. You *have* to go out.

Would you rather eat at Gyro King or Halal Guys? Or do you have a better choice for gyros?

Halal Guys is not worth all of the hype. The meat is completely flavorless. Yuck... I will have to try Gyro King.

The Halal Guys here in Houston is nowhere near as good as the one in NYC.

Given Halal Guys in Houston is junk ... overcooked, dry and flavorless, it's not much of a comparison. Gyro King is decent but they are stingy and charge whatever they feel like because pricing is inconsistent and for the price, the portions are small so I stopped going. I've never had any as good as Fontana's but it's in Queens, NYC.
