There is no real equivalent in DFW, because there's very little unincorporated area up there. Houston has had the power to stop incorporation and annexation by other municipalities in the city's ETJ since the late 1940's. Dallas and Ft. Worth didn't have that power so there are a bunch of small cities up there that share boundaries. Dallas can't grow at all, since it is surrounded.

16,000 in the City of Katy. Outside the city limits the population is 300,000 -- But they all live in Katy. That's why our HOA's are so important in managing those areas outside the city limits. Interesting fact is the City of Katy sits on 3 county lines, they intersect in the city boundaries.

The population of Katy is larger than Pittsburgh. Anglia is crap. Hope that helps.
