We are newish to Houston. Which groceries typically have the best deals on Turkeys? I remember back in the day, Randall's had Turkey Bucks which could lead to a free turkey.

Thanks
PS Am talking about normal turkeys here, not some skinny, new age, free-range, grain-fed, hand-massaged, humanely-murdered, $200 bird from Whole Foods or Central Market.

This week HEB and Kroger ads say free turkey with purchase of a ham. Randall's has buy frozen turkey breast, get one free.

Lol, "normal" turkeys aren't pumped full of antibiotics, hormones, water, salt, preservatives and flavorings, just sayin'

HEB is going to be your best bet, they run a few different sales and sometimes offer a free turkey if you buy a ham. These aren't huge turkeys but it's harder to cook a huge turkey properly anyway.

I'll endorse HEB as well. Buy a ham, get the rest of the meal essentially for free. Turkey, pan, stuffing, sodas, etc. etc. Their meal deals around the holidays are great.
