What park close by Houston would you recommend to see the fall foliage around Dec 1?
What place did you go recently that caught your breath by it's fall foliage beauty?
Thank you.

Fall Foliage isn’t really a Houston thing. I’ve been here 19 years, and this fall is the closest I’ve seen to that, thanks to some cold fall temps the past few weeks.

One fall we were in Hot Springs AR and the foliage was really pretty. So maybe head that way...

Otherwise, enjoy Houston for what it is, instead of looking for things it isn’t. Houston has never been known for fall foliage that takes your breath away.

Houston is not known for Fall foilage. No spots come to mind. We have plenty of beautiful sunsets that will take your breath away.

Yeah, the only time we see fall foliage is when we go visit our families in MD and PA in the fall. We didn’t go this year, so no fall leaves for us. Boo.

Yeah, hate to break it to you....we don’t have color change here like in other parts of the nation, especially in the New England area. Just doesn’t happen.

New England, mountains of Colorado, Canada.

Are those close enough?

Buffalo Bayou, the Arboretum, Memorial Park and Herman Park are all good candidates right now.

Arkansas was probably the closest on a grand scale, and that has passed I believe.

La Grange, Bellville, Brenham, and even Cypress and Katy. Maybe also Fulshear, Rosenberg and Sugar Land.
We got pretty decent fall colors this season here in Houston area.
