Can anyone recommend someplace to go to celebrate Songkran this weekend (April 12-13)? They are usually at the temples, but sometimes other places with a lot of space for tents. We're new to south Houston, and have been told of a temple in far NW Houston but have never been. Something closer, maybe even down to the Clear Lake area, would be nicer, but please let me have any suggestion.

Eh, sorry for the late posting. I just joined today. Anyways, I am part thai and just relocated to houston little over a two yrs now and after my initial move to houston I did some research and found only one true thai temple (north of I-10) so far. The other temples may seem similar but after visiting them I found out it was a laotian temple. I relocated to the spring area mainly to be close to work and secondly didnt care for the higher mortgage areas, keep in mind the property taxes are steep here. Keep me posted if you found any thai social groups around here in houston.
