Six Flags Entertainment announced today that Wet 'N' Wild Splashtown in Spring will be rebranded as Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown by the time it opens on May 4 for the 2019 season.
It will include six-story waterslide called "Wahoo Wave." The park will also have new Caribbean theming and improvements throughout the venue.

Sweet, they offered a season pass upgrade last year which will be accepted by all Six Flags parks instead of just Splashtown. They've been dumping a bunch of cash into the place over the last year or 2.

That placed annoyed me. The stairs to get up to some of the rides were so hot they burned my feet. Easy fix with a bit of shade but I guess they dont care.

How long ago did you go there? Six Flags really has improved a lot of stuff recently. Last season it was very noticeable. They've added a non-slip coating to most of the ride stairs which prevents burnt feet.

Six Flags bought the property last year and announced the name change to its usual water park name (Hurricane Harbour) for this year.

I went there last summer. Emailed management about it but they never bothered to respond. I will never go back, the one in Katy is better anyhow.

I know it's an old complaint, but it's unlikely we'll ever get back something unique like Astroworld. As 4th largest city, we really need and deserve something notable like that. Even Six Flags would just be another in a chain.
