Houston has a high pollen count because ? Because we are a lush , verdant, semitropical paradise, as one poster used to say.

If your eyes have been puffy and your voice has been sounding more and more like Donald Sutherland, there's a good reason.

Allergy season is starting to ramp up as tree, grass and weed pollen counts in the Houston area remain among the highest in the country.

The Weather Channel's Allergy Tracker, which uses data compiled by the Houston Health Department, ranked Houston at No. 1 in the U.S. for pollen count on Thursday with 6,488 grains of overall pollen.

I used to have to carry a whole tissue box around when I lived in Houston allergies galore. Luckily now that I’m in Austin allergies have all but stopped. I still love Houston but that was one thing that I hated

It's a good thing that you aren't allergic to cedar.

It's like she doesn't even want to face up to this. No news conferences, no press releases, no nothing. Hiding your head in the sand won't make this go away. I know our previous Judge would have handled this in a paternalistic, comforting manner.

Has she explained how pine pollen is racist and how it negatively affects historically marginalized communities more than others?

No, she has allergen consultants to help her out with that.
