Most cops give warnings if the driver is truly apologetic and stepped up and acknowledged what he/she did was wrong.

If a cop doesn't give a warning and a ticket instead, maybe the driver was being a negative person toward the cop. Or maybe the driver WAS warned last time, but still continued to break the law.

You got caught and you are trying to make it the fault of the cop. Plain and simple. It's not the cop's fault you broke the law.

I'm glad you got the ticket.

And who are you to tell others how to do their jobs?

I have been reading your posts, everything is about ME ME ME ME. That entitled attitude you have got you a ticket. You are not special. They don't enact traffic laws based upon your approval. You got caught, deal with it. Chances are you were confrontational and that's why you got written.

Your screenname is SO appropriate and makes total sense now.

You can say the same thing about pretty much everybody, even priests.

The same can be said about mostly any profession, especially when it involves working with people. Why not add lawyers, politicians, bankers, sales people, etc. to your little shpiel? Why zero in on cops? I will tell you why, you don't like taking responsibility for your actions.

Then get your family to clean up the mess of your remains on the roadway (without shutting down traffic for everyone else, thanks) rather than someone else having to do it and taxpayers having to fund it?

Apparently not-- if everything else in society that has said WEAR YOUR SEATBELT for decades hasn't convinced you, why are you going to take the advice of one cop? That's precisely why they hit you in the wallet where you may remember it for a while. You're obviously not going to do it for your own welfare or anyone else's, but maybe you'll do it because you don't like the consequences of getting caught. (And then it goes into the fund for scraping up other people off the road who didn't wear their seatbelts.)

Well, it has always seemed like a bad idea to pull an attitude with the guy wearing the gun. But that's just me.

Actually, it's not the ones that get killed instantly that are the real expensive ones, it's the ones that end up vegetables from a preventable brain injury, fed cleaned and provided medical care for twenty thirty or fifty years at our expense - whether through increases in our insurance premiums or our taxes paying for the county hospital and the nursing home.

I also don't argue with people who touch my food, such as my wife.
