I am moving to Houston for work this summer and I want to be in the Galleria area as it is close to work. I am looking for something nice, preferably on the trendier side with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, wood floors, etc... I am willing to spend up to $1200 for a 1BR apartment. So far I have 3000 Sage Apts, Gables Augusta, Providence Uptown, 36sixty, and Broadstone Uptown on my list of places to look at when I come to town in a couple weeks. I have read pretty bad reviews for all of these places though and while I try not to judge too much on reviews like these I am a bit concerned at how many negative reviews there seem to be. Can anyone give me their thoughts on these places and maybe suggest other places in the area I can look at? Thanks.

Check out the Post and the Marquis Bellaire. Both will be cheaper than what you can afford and not as shee-shee as 36Sixty and that tier, but you will get a bigger apartment for your buck, you will be swimming in the most incredibly attractive neighbors and have some great amenities. Laundry in room, pool and public grill, etc. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. That Marquis looks good and will add it to my list. I can't seem to figure out what the Post is. Seem to be a lot of apartments with Post in the name due to all of the streets named Post Oak.
