St John and Kinkaid have the best reputation overall amongst high schools in the area, but what do you think of St Agnes (girl) / Strake Jesuit (boy), Episcopal and Awty? It would be great to hear from a parent or child who currently attends any of these schools, an alumni or a HS applicant that has toured recently.

I am parent of a Strake Jesuit graduate. My son loved the school and made lifelong friends there. It was a great experience for him.

That’s great! What did you (or your son) like most about the school?

I think his answer would be the teachers and the sports facilities. I liked it because they encourage the boys to be responsible and have the boys figure out their problems without parental involvement.

I knew somebody whose mother would call his college professors or even log into his e-mail account and e-mail professors under his name.

I think helicopterism needs to go :-\

No first hand knowledge, but we have many friends with kids at Strake, St. Agnes and Episcopal and all are very happy.

We have some friends who have been very happy with Strake. They loved the education, supportive environment, and diversity.

I couldn't go to private school because my mom and dad couldn't afford it. So I only went to public school.
