.12 x $33.00 = $3.96 penalty per month FOR LIFE..... That’s on top of your Part B premium.
----------------------------------
thats $47.52 each year, say I have 20 more years to live, that would cost me $950.
Or does it go up with inflation?
But right now my savings is about $600 per year with no Part D and buying my own drug.or is it $700 since Kelsy has a $100 deductible on prescription drug.

I paid zero each month to Kelsey for its RX plan as long as I keep paying for my Medicare B and D .
But I only take 2 prescription drug,it is not free ,there is an annual deductible of $100.and Kelsey gives me generic, one is Synthroid which I can get anywhere for same or slightly less, the other is also generic from India which I do not like.
I can get the real McCoy from an online overseas site for less with free shipping.
with these 2 drugs,my annual drug expense would be under $200,so why pay $70 a month for PART D?
But then like you said,I could get sick and need expensive prescription drug, then I have to wait for the next enrollment to get back into D and RX.
Right now starting this month, I am in Kelsey Medicare Advantage Essential which is the same as RX with no D.
where did you get $10 for B,Essential is zero premium as long as I keep up with Medicare B.
Also I have not see a doctor at Kelsey for years, hindsight said I should have just signed up with Medicare A and not B,until I start to get sick sick !!
Why did you pay $70 for D?! The cheapest one is about $7/mo, which would satisfy the Part D requirement. Essential “gives back” $10/mo into your SS check.
