I am relocating to the Harvest Green subdivision from Queens, NY very soon. I am looking for feedback from people who owned a Perry Home and Coventry Home. Those two builders built in Harvest Green. What are your thoughts? Positive or negative?

Also, how diverse is that subdivision? I am looking for a mix of diversity and culture. Thats the most important for me.

You are looking at one of the most diverse subdivisions in one of the most diverse counties in the country.

I have friends who built in Harvest Green and love it. It is a very diverse community in very diverse Fort Bend County.

I believe they built with Perry Homes, a builder with a long tradition in Houston. Perry has always been the upper-middle to upper-upper end of the market. They have built for decades in Texas.

Everything out there is booming and half the fun is guessing which stores/restaurants are being built next.

I hate when you see a giant project going up and then later find out it's just another public storage unit. Other than that, you're usually getting something good.

I don’t own a home in that subdivision but me and my wife looked at some sample homes from both builders. They both pass our eye test

And the subdivision is very diverse.

We have had 2 Coventry Homes. We've been happy with them. Overall good quality AND...most importantly, they stand by their warranty. We had a few minor issues after closing and we had no issues getting them back out to fix things. Our neighbors, who built with another builder, had heck of a time warrantying anything...

Another thing we liked about Coventry over Perry is that they were more flexible about structural modifications-i.e adding in an extra door or an extra window etc...

Thats a good point that you brought up; competency on warranty.

Which builder did your neighbors use?

Coventry is the higher tier of Plantation Homes, so if you have trouble finding info on Coventry then look up Plantation.
They have both been around in TX for a while. You really can't go wrong with either.

Oh! I was wondering what happened to Plantation Homes. They built a ton where I grew up in the Clear Lake area. They were a good builder. That is a very familiar name in the Houston area.

Looks like they just rebranded it all as Covetry homes.
