These granules, maybe are droppings or eggs or whatever, show up along one outer wall of my master bedroom, and I see nothing above them to indicate where they are dropping from. Can anyone tell me what they are before I have to call a specialist to get an answer? They are all either light brown or black.

Your spouse is eating a bunch of sesame seed bagels, and not cleaning up after him/her self?

Definitely call pest control. Those look like termite droppings https://thrasherpestcontrol.com/dryw...ite-droppings/

If nothing above, then they're probably doing their foul deeds next to that pile (in the picture on the right). Have you swept that out of the way to see what the wall looks like there?

Default Clean up and look for holes...

For sure, dry termite droppings. Remove the pile and see if you can spot a small hole in the wall, or directly above, it may even be in the ceiling. Either way, those are droppings from termites and you need to treat. You most likely already have some damaged wood up there. Good luck!

OK thanks for that, Yeah there was water coming in above, a few feet away but in those two places in the photos there are no breaches in the wall or ceiling. So it doesn't make any sense that those two piles can just pile up like that, unless the termites like to come inside and party in those two spots. Ata any rate thx, I will take some action.

They are drywood termite droppings - the drywood termites push them out of tiny holes. The tiny area is somewhere adjacent or above that spot as they do not move them once they are out of their tunnel.

Drywood termites are tiny, and unfortunately the only treatment is to tent your house and fumigate - which requires you leave for a couple of days.
