Fry's used to offer great prices if you were willing to wait for a sale. I remember getting a 47" LED TV in ~2011 for $600, which was hundreds cheaper than anyone else was offering at the time.

The last time I popped into the SW Houston store was in 2019 and already there were lots of bare shelves. Was sad to see it go downhill so badly.
I was in there a couple of weeks ago. A good portion of the store was blocked off and inaccessible. Cell phone items were moved over to the area were the cabling and security cameras were.

They actually had a bunch of DJ equipment in there where the printing supplies were located. No TV's or multimedia products. The whole area where the memory and motherboards on the wall was empty. I bought a laptop protector and no one checked my receipt on the way out. No one was there to tell me what register was open down at the FAR end of all of the registers.

It was just a matter of time.
