'Sorry I even have to say this, but oh well... when one puts "", you can rest assured the preceding comment was in jest, or a joke.

Nonetheless, for those who don't know, you cannot use water to put out a lithium-ion fire, and I am guessing that the array of batteries will be lithium-ion gel. Have you ever seen the aftermath of a Tesla that has caught fire because of the batteries? It is always charred and damaged beyond repair. That is because lithium-ion gel batteries create hydrogen and oxygen when on fire, hence the 'bomb' comment I made. Those batteries create their own fuel source and usually have to burn out. Adding water to it only creates more hydrogen through a chemical reaction. Only Halon puts out those fires, foam smothers it, but is not what puts it out.

Gas stations, refineries, nuclear plants? 'Come on. A fat dude farting could potentially be a bomb if near a spark! <<<<< means JOKE!

What about the tanker trucks driving on our highways with 10,000 gallons of gas to fill up those gas stations?

Because it’s expensive to set up and not as popular. Also because electric cars are expensive making their owners people of wealth while gas stations are though of as icky

Electric cars aren't any more or less expensive than other cars, they are just a far smaller percentage of the automobile population than cars with ICE because they have more constraints than the typical ICE. The number of people paying $50k for trucks and $70k for Tahoes tells you that people are willing to drop some coin on cars.

We don't have a good grasp on history, but thinking back to when cars themselves were new, gas stations weren't on every corner. It took decades for the infrastructure to get to this point.

It could almost be said that we are coming full circle... battery powered vehicles were more popular since the late 1800s than steam, or gasoline powered vehicles! It was not until Henry Ford came up with his assembly lines and churned out gasoline cars by the thousands that electric cars lost appeal because like today, they cost a heck of a lot more than a Model T. A 'nice' Tesla that will do about 400 miles will set you back about 100K, so it is not quite a replacement for most people. Also, if you have to replace your batteries, you are looking at a 15-20K bill!

I was driving down 59s towards Rosenberg and noticed a new Tesla dealership(?) or maintenance facility? I hadn't noticed when i was driving around there 5 months ago. There must be a demand for it in Sugarland area.
