The gays are gone from Montrose unless they are high income earners, for the most part. People still go for the clubs, but not a lot live there.

Most of the Houston area is LGBT friendly, but if you're specifically looking for where the gays live, it's everywhere.

IMO, the Galleria Area seems to have a high concentration just because of the heavy retail and fashion in the area combined with a wide diversity in housing prices in close proximity; from low-income to super posh.

The religious gay crowd tends to congregate near 610 and 290. Any of the churches specifically for LGBT folks (not just the churches that are inclusive, but ones specifically headed by LGBT people) are within 4-5 miles of 290 and 610. I asked a friend who pastors a church in that area why that is and he said that just seems to be the epicenter and churches struggle outside that area.

The Trump gays seem to love the Woodlands and Conroe. I know quite a few out that way.

Strangely enough, I know 3 gay couples in the Texas City/League City corridor that have no trouble making friends and socializing without going into Houston. They have gay friends and straight friends and do just fine in their tract home neighborhoods.

Years ago there was an article in one of the Houston free gay newspapers about the zip code around 59 and the Beltway (southwest) saying that zip had the highest percentage of gay men with children.

I know a lot of gay families in the Cypress area too. So yeah, everywhere.

Gayborhoods are disappearing, for better or worse. Pretty soon there will probably be more gay-specific clubs outside of Montrose than in.

Yeah I know like areas on the westside like Memorial and Uptown are more Republican, but it seems that these areas might just be conservative in economic issues and not very conservative on LGBT issues.

Westbury was known as a gayborhood at one time, and that still seems to be a bit true.

This was the first area that came to mind for me. Lots of gay families in Shepherd Forest and Timbergrove neighborhoods specifically. Not sure about singles though.
