Well, most of SW Houston is inhabited by Indian and Asian peoples. I have a cousin in SL and I am out there often.

He will do great in that part of Houston, although we see quite a few Indian/Pakistani people in Cypress as well.

Sugar Land used to be, because it is older. But it is more mixed. Chinese love Sugar Land a lot as well. Plus Middle East. And some people from the US.
On the other hand, Richmond is more inclined towards Indian culture from the start and it feels predominantly Indian.

Just curious. Being that culture seems to be of concern to you - for the money you are looking to spend, I feel like there's a lot of neighborhoods in Sugar Land that you could get into that will have you fully-immersed in the Desi culture....not to mention you'd probably have access to far-better schools. Kind of thinking areas like New Territory, Telfair, First Colony, or Chelsea Harbour.

Last time I checked in, Richmond was heavily Hispanic, with lots of other groups there also.

I could be wrong, but I though CD stats were for the actual city limits. The area the OP is talking about is well outside of Richmond proper, and will in fact have an ETJ of Houston.

Regardless, I owned a house in that zip code (77407) in Aliana. It took a long time, but I was so happy to finally get out of there. Crime (home break-ins specifically) was insane at one point out there.

Don't worry, 1st generation Indians are welcome in just about any predominantly white-collar professional, suburban-type area. Keep the outside of your house algae free, keep your yard up, trim your trees properly, and don't foul up the neighborhood with odors coming from your illegally bootlegged garage-kitchen, and you'll be fine.

On the flip side, vast majority of 1st gen Indians are extremely cliquish and unwelcoming to anybody who isn't Indian within their own caste. This mentality mostly goes away with the 2nd generation children-- pretty much all the nerdy kids who grow up together become lifelong friends.

I am interested in buying a very nice spacious house next to Mason Road, a corner house very nice built from 2015 (Price over $450K)and was wondering if this area is safe for immigrants(desi people)with family and kids? I have no idea about the people living in this subdivision and demographics. I know Aliana which is next to fieldstone is much better but due to crazy house prices I could not afford there. Is buying in fieldstone a good investment? I know the schools are A ratings and easy access to toll way.
Mason Road on the Fieldstone side/Richmond has been recently expanded and it now connects to Westpark Toll road and Katy area. This is likely to bring more through traffic to your area. If the house you are considering backs to Mason, expect road noise. Good luck with the crazy housing market!

I think you are referring to SUgarland/
I am in 77407 - 1464 and FM 1093,hardly any ASIAN in the area.
Those subdivision houses are so far apart, one barely see his neighbor, and not many socialise with each other.

You’ve clearly never been to British Columbia.

This is true of every ethnic group. We can't see it in ours as honkeys because we assume that we are the majority and American culture is of our origin.

Personally, I have great Indian neighbors and I adore them. They have their own culture and therefore their own rules, customs, cuisine, behaviors, aesthetics, etc., so I don't expect them to be like me just in a different tint.

I still reject diversity of all forms. Northern Ireland, Rwanda, Kosovo, Ethiopia, and now Tibet. Doesn't matter if it's the same race, but if it it's a different ethnic group and/or religion, problems arise, starting with the death of majority culture. No one means badly, but it ends up badly.

That's what's fascinating to me about being human. So many things that seem like they would be decent and nice turn out to be tiger traps buried under sand. You have to think from cause-to-effect, instead of by aesthetics alone, or you can end up being an unintentional monster.
