I can name a few:
(W/E) Orem Dr - from 288 to Cullen Blvd

T.C. Jester Blvd - from S. Victory Dr to W. Gulf Bank Rd.
And then from W. Montgomery Rd to Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8 (3 businesses may have to be moved or shutdown to make space for it) There's a large Cemetery between those two connection ideas, so we can write going through the cemetery off the table and make the two connections separate.

Gessner Rd - from West Rd to Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8

Hollister St - from Fairbanks-White Oak Rd (near W Little York Rd) to Blue Ranch Dr (near TX-249)

Fallbrook Dr - from Sweetbrook Dr to Ella Blvd (this one is quick, and obvious)

Ella Blvd - from TX-249 to West Road (this one is a bit iffy)

W Airport Rd/Allum Rd - from S. Post Oak Rd to Chimney Rock Rd (another iffy one that may be too little too late)

Chimney Rock Rd/Rockwell Blvd - from S. Main Rd/US-90 Alt (as somewhat frontage roads to FBT up until after W. Orem) to Grapevine St.
And then from FM 2234 to Tabor Mills Dr.

S. Post Oak Rd - from FM 2234 to Colorado St (another iffy one, cause of the sandpit near the end at Colorado St)

Hiram Clarke Rd - from Anderson Rd to Clark Springs Dr (again, another iffy one cause of the Landfill near the end at Clarke Springs Dr)

Kirby Dr/Anagonost Rd - from Holmes Rd (if Williams Brothers Construction A.K.A. the largest construction company in the city by far, ever moves that entire giant place somewhere else or at least makes space for the Kirby extension, which they won't anytime soon) to Airport Blvd.
A bridge in between Airport Blvd and W. Orem Dr, and then from Nichole Woods Dr to Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8 (that last part is, again iffy cause of the sandpit/landfill near the end, another one that could be too little too late)

N. Westgreen Blvd - from Raintree Village Dr to Freeman Rd/FM 529 (Katy and/or Cypress really have big plans for this street)

Cullen Blvd - just a bridge over Brays Bayou (unless that one is also too little too late)

that's all the ones that come off of the top of my head

I would've also said McHard Rd if it wasn't for the fact that it's already in progress as we speak

A metroplex are two major cities that connect via suburbs. Example are Dallas and Fort Worth, Minneapolis and Saint Paul, and Miami and Fort Lauderdale. In situations like Houston, NYC and Chicago where one city is catastrophically more dominate than the others, it’s not considered a metroplex but it is a metropolitan area.

Gosling Road through from Harris Co. to 1488

Woodlands Parkway west to 249

Basically, every thoroughfare in The Woodlands needs to connect through the adjacent suburban areas outside of it. The Woodlands residents who think their area should be a disconnected bubble are idiots who should be ignored, including by local politicians.

Haha. They enjoy it this way. That’s not gonna change anytime soon

To be fair, it’s not uncommon for affluent suburbs to be disconnected like the Woodlands is. See Bel Air and some of the North Miami Beach zones.

I agree, just build the damn road to Tomball already. However, the rich folks in The Woodlands hate to think they might pay an extra 50 cents in taxes to allow the great unwashed to pass through their pristine ville. Since they vote for the politicians, and vote against the bond issues to build said road, it's unlikely to get built.

Of course they enjoy it that way
They basically have 3 highways (Woodlands parkway, Lake Woodlands drive and Research Forest) to use
and those roads ONLY take you to the Woodlands

But now that the Grand Parkway was finished
They have Harris county taxpayers paying to improve all the roads that connect The Woodlands to the Grand Parkway so they can have easy access to it.

Here's my previous post about it
Why are Harris county taxpayers paying for Gosling expansion that only benefits Montgomery county (The Woodlands)?

The Gosling expansion also benefits tens of thousands of people who live near the road in Harris County in subdivisions like Northampton, Augusta Pines, Carlton Woods, etc. It also benefits people who commute from Katy, Sugar Land, etc to The Woodlands.
