I'm near the Med Center/Montrose/Reliant area, and I swear to God, there have been so many clusterf*cks on the roads lately because red lights are *CONSTANTLY* flashing red, turning these intersections into 4 way stops. The light at 610 and Main keeps going out, all up and down Shepherd... has anyone else noticed it being way worse lately? This is driving me absolutely nuts. Turning 20 minute commutes into an hour, etc. What the heck are we paying taxes for?!?!

Would be good for a TV station to investigate the reason for that

I have noticed the same thing. Significant increase in flashing reds, and also previously synced traffic lights losing sync, making traffic slower. I was assuming that the numerous mini power outages and fluctuations that I have been getting at home and at work are screwing with the traffic lights mechanisms. The quality of the power supply here is awful and getting worse. I now unplug expensive electronics and plug them in only while in use because I have had losses even with surge protectors..

The power here is terrible. Anything with value that isn't too large is on an APC UPS. Worked wonders for internet/computers.

Now flashing red lights - Midtown is terrible and people drive SO SLOW like low 20s with 30mph speed limit.
