Yeah. There's no way to explain or make sense out of nonsense.

The argument that Houston metro is somehow "uncivilized" because it doesn't have a full-fledged amusement park has been going on certainly ever since Astroworld closed, and even before that because many thought Astroworld wasn't "good enough."

Yes, it's pretty ridiculous.

When a big show does come to town, security is so bad you might get trampled to death by a herd of idiots or some gangbangers will come shoot up the place. Even the Galleria is under siege. It has become an absolute ****hole.
Replace Houston with America and you'll be spot on! The Hollywood Bowl and the Capitol Records tower are icons of the American music industry, but these icons are so dated that they became monuments to past glories instead.

Pretty good concert program this year in Houston: from Bon Jovi to Black Keys, The Killers and Bauhaus.

we lived in Houston a few years ago ( been back in the UK 6 years now ) and found the music scene and choice of venues in Hoiuston area very good.
we went to the racecourse 2 years in a row to see Lynyrd Skynyrd.
went to the Cynthia Wood pavillion a few of times..the House of Blues club downtown..and the Toyota centre to see
Alice Cooper / Motley Crue..

Yep. The music festivals here are pretty tame and that’s the only knock on the live music scene here. When an article like this puts Miami as the worst, you know they’re something wrong.

If you still think Houston has a crappy music scene, you are just not looking very hard.

Lots of great live music venues....think outside the major national popular acts.

Places like White Oak Music Hall, Heights Theater, Mucky Duck, Continental Club, Dan Electro's, Armadillo Palace and others bring a pretty wide variety of music to our city. We also have lots of music related events, like the Karbach concerts that go on at the beginning of the Rodeo season, the Cajun Fest in Conroe, Cynthia Woods Pavilion, Millet Outdoor Theater and others.
