I am looking to move to Houston (with two school-going kids) from NJ and looking for help in areas/cities where I can find major Pakistani and Indian Communities (preferably Muslims). And more important Schooling should be good.

So far I know Sugar Land, where I see lot of Desi communities based on School demographic and intrestingly school rating are also high. But unfortunattly the prices are really high in Sugar Land, I was told about Katy, TX but in Katy most of the school asian demographic is less than 10%... I also looked at Richmond,TX but I found the same. Not sure If I am missing something or if there are specific area/school zones where you have a higher desi population?

Any help/suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sugar Land is by far the best place in the entire region what you're looking for, especially Telfair. Price wise, New Territory is cheaper and is still in Sugar Land. New Territory should have similar prices to Katy.

You can look at Katy ISD near the LCISD line between the Westpark Tollway and I-10. New builds there have big desi communities and the elementary schools have pretty high Asian populations (~30%), not as high as Sugar Land. Not sure about your budget though, but it is slightly cheaper than Sugar Land. Look at homes that feed into Seven Lakes, Tompkins and Jordan High schools. All three high schools have Asian populations over 20 percent. If buying in Cross Creek Ranch, make sure the home is districted to Katy ISD.

Also for Richmond, TX, Aliana and Harvest Green is a good fit.
