Is any familar with the Briar Forest Lofts in the Energy Corridor. I currenly live on the east belt between Mesa and Wilson, however I work in the EC- THE COMMUTE IS TERRIBLE. Our office is South of I-10 near Dairy Ashford - We are relocating to Energy Center Two once it is complete.

The prices at the Briar Forest Lofts are very attractive and the development is new.

Any insights?

I don't know anything about that facility, but I know most people are wary of Briar Forest in that area. There has been a lot of construction, and things are improving and going upscale....but still, it's Briar Forest.

I live in that area. Most of Briar Forest is nice. Most of the bad apartments on Briar Forest would be near Kirkwood or Wilcrest. West of Dairy Ashford, there's one that is an absolute dive - Chelsea Court. It's on Enclave Parkway, south of Briar Forest. The other aprtments around it are alright, but Chelsea Court's a dump. It was laways a dump, but after Katrina it became public housing for many people from New Orleans and got worse. I don't mean to say everyone's a criminal who lives there, but it's a pretty rough place. My neighborhood ended up paying more for off duty cop patrol, in part because of it. Most everything else out there is nice though. You're real close to an LA Fitness, as well as Hershey Trail and George Bush Park. You're also in between Westheimer and Memorial. Everything you need is close by.
