We mow our own grass in NJ and we have a little over a half an acre, but no one we saw in the Woodlands had a lawnmower! So, just curious what does lawn service cost?

Also, for those of you who use a cleaning service, how much does it cost for a 3500 sq foot house?

Thanks!

I pay $25 to have a Hispanic crew mow, edge and sweep the lawn (front and back) and they even weed sometimes. I'm out in Katy.

LOL...I live on SeaBrook Island and can honestly say I am one of the few who mows their own yard! I'm sorry..I just refuse to pay someone for something I am very capable of doing! I'd much rather use that $ to go shopping with! Yards are pretty good size around here...I was told $50 per mow! I also clean my own house...this way...it ALL gets done the way I want it done!

I pay $50 a month for every two weak maintenance. It includes wead pulling, mowing, edging, and shrub trimming if needed.

I pay $25 a weak for house cleaning. This includes vacuuming, dusting, and normal picking up.

um...can you forward your house cleaning info?

I am alright on lawn maintenance. They won't win any awards but I have a 12,300 sq ft corner lot that is mowed, edged and swept weekly for $30 a pop.

25 a week for 1/2 an acre. Cut, blow, trim, weed.
60 bucks a week for a woman that cleans like she's on fire for 8 hours.

The Woodlands cost me 40 bucks a week to cut and blow. It's all crews up there. And SIXTY, yes SIXTY bucks an HOUR to clean. After a little of that, I cleaned my own damn house.

Nothing like living in Houston where competition keeps the costs "real."

Sounds like I'll be cleaning my own house. My husband mows the law in NJ and we have more property than we're likely to get in the woodlands, so that's fine! Just wanted some comparisons!
