The Tremont Tower condos, built ~5 years ago. Googling "Tremont Tower" might turn up some colorful history. This along the south side of Westheimer between Yupon and Graustark.

holy moley .... i've never heard a thing about any of this ..... course, the last 5 years or so have been purty hectic.....

did a little reading..... did a little surfing......

so is the entire building closed off?? are all of the condo's vacant and abandoned and in foreclosure?? apparently some are still listed for sale?? or were those just old and inactive??

and how in the heck is this company still doing business?? they apparently have 5 or 6 other projects going on ..... RIGHT NOW.....

so sorry..... not trying to hijack your thread.....

Who knows, it's all a bunch of shady stuff. And I sort of view the thing as a monument to *yuppified* Montrose. Maybe this was the way it was meant to turn out.

There's a lot of discussion on this building on the Houston Architecture (HAIF) forum...

I'd probably not recommend buying one of those units. Obviously the HOA is leaving a bit to be desired, even if you don't have mold in your condo.

Beautiful pics. i think i got more info from them that the hours I spent reading peoples posts. I read in another thread that the Montrose area was a great and affordable place for young single people. Is it affordable as far as renting goes? As far as young people is it 20 somethings or would this area have something to offer 30 somethings as well?

Cool shots. You probably ought to run with your own thread, that way it can get linked onto the (stickied) photo page.

LOL! Yes! The pictures are cool enough even on a bicycle. I just dropped my reserved parking space today, so this is it. A picture prefect way of life in walking or bicycling.

Coming up next, shouldn't your driveway be empty? We'll see.
