So North part of Houston will always be cooler than South?

Youre right, DFW and Houston weather are similar to each other in the winter and there was not a freeze over in Houston in 2010. Dont know why I said that

Are you saying Dallas is just as cold as Houston?

Here's the bit I was referring to..........and it's a fabrication on your part.

"The differences between Houston and DFW weather is more pronounced in the winter time, where a few degrees lower means it'll be raining ice for week whereas Houston will have cold rain instead."

Whether you meant for a week or weeks does not matter DFW does not suffer week long periods of, "raining ice."

FE the 2011 "Ice Storm" was in fact one sleet event that passed through Dallas in less than a day and then snow beginning a day later.

The National Weather Service seems to disagree with your memory.

Am I missing something? To my eye your link indicates DFW officially had ~3/10 inches total snow and one trace ice event for the not quite 6 year period before the big freeze....April 2015 - Jan. 2021.

Wow it was just an example of how a few degrees difference in the winter can make a big difference in what the weather is like for each metro. I never said it rains ice in DFW every winter wtf

And no, the 2011 event was a week long freeze over. I know because I lived it and it was during Super Bowl week. I called off work for a couple days and they cancelled school all week. Things didnt thaw out until Friday and completed thawed Saturday, so that event was 4-5 days before real relief came.
